Getting Into KL City from Main Connections Part 2

By Bus If you reach KL by bus, it really depends on where you travelled from. But most of the buses stop in TBS nowadays (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) which simply means "Southern something.. something.. Terminal". If you reached TBS, you may then take KLIA Express to KL Sentral which will cost you about RM6.50. Well, personally, I would prefer to take UBER straight to the desired destination. For Internet connection, you may go to Mc Donalds or just use TBS' free wifi (if im not wrong, there is one) If you will be reaching another bus station, I would suggest to walk to the nearest train station or just take UBER to get to your destination. Using UBER is quite cheap & safe in KL - Unless if you are on a really, really tight budget, you may then do further research if the place you are heading to is near to any train stations. Train (LRT) tickets prices are variable depending on the distance and number of stops. I think the most expensive fee I have paid is RM6++. ...

Getting Into KL City from main Connections

Another round of tips for any travellers planning to spend their time in KL. For this post we will be focusing on the means of transportation to KL City. There are a few scenarios for this: By plane If you reached by plane, there are 4 ways to get to KL City: A) Airport Taxi Only recommended if you arrive at KLIA. On the way out from custom counter to departure hall waiting area, there is an Airport Taxi (Limo) counter. Mention the place you are heading to to the person at the counter and they will give you some fixed price depending on the type of car/distance/zone. You should pay for the voucher and head straight to door 2. There will be a line for Airport Taxis. Cost is about RM60-RM100. For KLIA 2, the taxi can be expensive as they are meter based and operated by local cabs (some may ask for crazy prices if you are taking it late in the night or peak hours). Travel Tips for Kuala Lumpur

I have recently went on a 3 weeks Euro Trip around the countries in Europe. I have realised that there are a few things essential for a backpacker to know: 1) Staying in Airbnb may not be as convenient as staying in hotel. You need to know exactly the location of the place and be sure to ask for detailed instructions on how to get to the place. Also, checking in at odd hours may cause you to feel uncomfortable.  2) One thing that I have never realised the importance of is "Left Luggage" centres. Or Deposito Bagagli in Italian. During our travel, we have had a lot of experience with Left Luggage centres. Our first interesting experience happened in Manchester when we did not realise that the centre closes at 11pm! And we had to catch a bus at 2am the next day. We were delaying taking our luggage and when we went there, it was already closed. It was a really costly mistake! We had to walk in the cold and find accommodation and book another train ticket for the next day ...

Pulau Perhentian

Located off the coast of Terengganu, Perhentian is one of the best islands I have been to. My sample is quite biased though due to the small sample size. But one thing for sure, I prefer it to Phi Phi Island in Thailand. With the crystal clear south china sea water, it boasts live corals, turtles, sharks and much more. See: Long beach view I went there once with my friends. They went there for diving. I have no idea how good the diving is but the snorkelling was beyond my expectation. We went there on a 3D2N trip. Stayed at Rock Garden Chalet on Long Beach. The chalet was very basic; located up the hill and requires climbing, no toiletries provided and old mattresses but the view was fantastic.
